| We offer ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, pointe, and competition teams! Dance attire must be worn at all time. Students may wear leotards, tights, jazz pants, ballet skirts, athletic shorts, or tank tops. Absolutely no baggy clothes. Hair must be pulled up in a pony tail or bun. Your child will need the proper dance shoes in order to participate in class. Ages 3 & 4: Ballet and Tap: These classes teach the dancer beginner dance skills in ballet and tap. The benefits of starting a child in dance at this age are that it helps the child socially among peers and it helps the child get acquainted with a structured classroom with an adult giving instruction. This is a 1 hour class that meets once a week. The cost is $40.00 a month. During the year the child will be involved in performances like the Riverfest, Christmas Parade Rivers and Spires, and our annual Recital. In our annual Recital, the child will be required to be in two dances with two separate costumes (1 for ballet & 1 for tap). Ages 5 – 14: Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Beginner Hip-Hop: These classes go more into depth with ballet and tap technique. The child will also be introduced to jazz and hip-hop technique. This is a 1 hour class that meets once a week. The cost is $50.00 a month. During the year the child will be involved in performances like the Riverfest, Christmas Parade,Rivers and Spires, and our annual Recital. In our annual Recital, the child will be required to be in three dances with three separate costumes (ballet, tap, & jazz). Ages 15 and up: Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Jazz and Hip-hop: These classes go even more in depth with ballet, tap and jazz technique. Hip-Hop will be introduced in this class. This is a 1 ½ hour class that meets once a week. The cost is $65.00 a month. During the year the child will be involved in performances like the Riverfest, Christmas Parade, Rivers and Spires, and our annual Recital. In our annual Recital, the child will be required to be in numerous dances with three separate costumes. Pointe: This is a class for a ballet dancer that has had at least 3 years of ballet and is at least 11 years old. This class cannot be enrolled in unless approved by the instructor. You must be enrolled in a regular ballet class in order to enroll in pointe. Dancing in pointe requires considerable strength and skill. This is a 30 minute class that meets once a week. The cost is $25.00 a month. In our annual Recital, the dancer will be in 1 pointe dance. This dance will require a pointe costume. Competition Teams: These classes are for advanced dancers that are dedicated to the art of dance. The instructor must approve in order to be enrolled in these classes. You must be enrolled in a regular ballet, jazz & tap class in order to enroll in competition. These dancers are required to compete at all competitions and travel to the competitions that are out of town. They will have extra dances and extra costumes. They will have extra rehearsals before competitions. This is a 1 hour class that meets once a week. In our annual Recital, the competition dances will be performed. Solo Classes: These classes are designed for the specific dancers' needs. This is a one on one class with the instructor. The dancer can learn a solo dance to perform or compete. The dancer can also take this class to brush up on different dance skills they might need extra work on. 1 hour solo that meets once a week: $60.00 a month 30 minute solo that meets once a week: $40.00 a month Daycares: Mrs. Rebecca teaches classes at the Tot Spot daycare. |
